Getting started
Is MeetDating free to use?
Yes — creating an account, browsing matches, and messaging is free. We offer optional subscriptions (boosts, super-likes, unlimited swipes, advanced filters) that help fund the platform and our moderation team. You can use the app forever without paying.
What ages can use MeetDating?
MeetDating is for adults aged 18 and older only. We verify your age during signup and ban any account found to be under 18.
Where is MeetDating available?
At launch, MeetDating is available worldwide where local laws permit. Some features (verification methods, payment options) may vary by region.
How do I sign up?
Once the app is live, you'll sign up with an email or phone number, complete identity verification, build a profile with photos and prompts, and start meeting people. Join the waitlist on our homepage to get notified at launch.
Profiles & matching
How does MeetDating verify profiles?
Every account goes through identity verification at signup using selfie matching against your profile photos. Verified accounts get a badge. We never display your verification documents to other users.
Can I hide my profile from people I know?
Yes. Discreet mode hides your profile from contacts in your phonebook, blocks specific phone numbers from finding you, and lets you limit visibility to only people you've matched with.
How does matching work?
MeetDating shows you people nearby who match your preferences (age range, distance, what you're looking for). The more you use the app, the better matches get — but you're always in charge of what shows up in your feed.
Can I change my preferences later?
Any time. Gender, age range, distance, what you're looking for, deal-breakers — adjust whenever your mood or situation changes.
Safety & trust
How do I report someone?
Open the menu on any profile or chat and choose Report. Our moderation team reviews every report within 24 hours. You can block someone with a single tap.
What's a date check-in?
Before you head out, tell us about your date (where, when, who). We'll check in during and after to make sure you're OK. You can share your location with a trusted contact directly from the app.
Are my messages private?
Messages are encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not share messages with third parties. Our moderation team only views message content if you report it, or in response to a valid legal request.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Account → Delete account. Your profile is removed immediately and your data is purged within 30 days, except where we're legally required to retain certain records.
Billing & subscriptions
How do I cancel a subscription?
Settings → Subscriptions → Manage. You can cancel any time and you'll keep premium features until the end of your billing period.
Do you offer refunds?
Where required by law, yes. Otherwise, subscriptions are non-refundable. See our Terms for the full policy.
