Last updated: 17 May 2026
MeetDating ("MeetDating", "we", "us", "our") cares about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the rights and choices you have. It applies to our website at meetdating.app and any related apps and services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who is the data controller?
MeetDating is the controller of personal data collected through the Service. You can contact us at privacy@meetdating.app.

- Communications: messages you send through the Service, support requests, survey responses, and other communications with us or other users.
- Payment data: if you purchase a subscription or other paid feature, payment-card or other payment data is collected and processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers.
2.2 Information we collect automatically

2.3 Information from third parties
- Sign-in providers: if you sign in with Google, Apple, or another identity provider, we receive the information that provider shares with us (typically name, email, profile photo).
- Verification and moderation providers: outcomes of identity checks, photo authenticity checks, content moderation.
- App stores: purchase confirmations, subscription status.
Some of the information you provide is considered "sensitive personal data" or "special category data" under applicable law — for example, information relating to sexual orientation, sex life, or religious beliefs. Where we collect this information, we rely on your explicit consent (which you can withdraw at any time) or other lawful bases.
3. How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service — creating your account, showing matches, enabling messaging, processing payments.
- To verify identity and prevent fraud, impersonation, and underage use.
- To moderate content and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, security alerts, and (with your permission) marketing.
- To respond to support requests and legal obligations.
- To carry out research and analytics that help us improve the product (typically using aggregated or de-identified data).
4. Legal bases (EU / UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service you've signed up for.
- Consent: for processing sensitive data, sending marketing, using cookies that aren't strictly necessary. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests: for safety, fraud prevention, product improvement — balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation: for compliance with applicable law, including responses to legal requests.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:
- With other users: your profile (photos, bio, prompts, location to the level of granularity you've allowed) is shown to other users on the Service.
- With service providers: hosting, analytics, identity verification, payments, customer support, fraud prevention, content moderation. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual restrictions.
- For legal reasons: when we believe disclosure is required by law or legal process, to protect rights, property, or safety, or to investigate fraud or violations of our Terms.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets — we'll notify you of any such change.
- With your consent: any other sharing is with your active permission.
6. International transfers
MeetDating operates globally. Your data may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect personal data that leaves your region.
7. Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active and for a limited period afterward to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When you delete your account, we remove your profile immediately and purge associated data within 30 days, except where retention is legally required (for example, transaction records).
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data (right to erasure).

We do not sell personal information as that term is commonly understood. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@meetdating.app.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
